Autumn

Trees are slowly starting to undress

Looks like they’ve found a new dress

A little question I would like to address

Tell me, do you have something to confess?

Yes, my little human, a new cycle has begun

There are four, and autumn is the only one

Who wears the knitted scarf of a rusty sun

Waiving a quiet goodbye to the summer son.

Welcome back, my copper season,

I now understand you are the reason

Why all the flowers have been eaten

Leaving leaves behind so it will not be uneven.

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” ― Albert Camus
